This beautiful hummingbird combination pin and
pendant is made by Zuni New Mexico artists
Ruddell and Nancy Laconsello.
The Laconsellos do some of the finest
Native American inlay work using bird and
nature themes. The detail, proportions,
and colors of their work are perfect as is the
incredible intricacy of feathers and other
fine details. The settings in which they place
the bird are always authentic.
The work is intricate ~ for example in this
hummingbird, it's amazing to look at
the tiny pieces of inlay for the beak, eye and feet
as well as the jet swirls in the design around
the edge. This piece has also been designed in
the shape of a pot which we find very attractive.
